Eff Love!

So i know I'm a bit behind but i was just watching Rihanna's 20/20 interview which i believe aired a couple weeks ago. For the first time ever we hear what happened that night from Rihanna's point of view. I was VERY impressed with Rihanna's maturity and attitude about this whole ordeal. She admits that she made a mistake going back to Chris Brown after he beat her but she came to her senses and left him! She says that she could not have stayed with him because not only would she have resented him, she did not want to be responsible for another girl going back to an abusive relationship because of the message she was sending. Rihanna advises abused women not to react off of love because love can be so blind. My favorite part of this interview is when Diane Sawyer says that a lot of girls saw her as the last person who would be in this situation, Rihanna confidently states that she IS strong and that this was not something she caused or asked for, it was something that happened to her just like it could to anyone else.

I applaud Rihanna for doing this, i loved her confident but not rehearsed answers. I feel like she inspired a lot of young girls who might look up to her and might also be in abusive relationships. Shoot...i felt so inspired, i started packing my bags until i realized i didn't even have a MAN let alone an abusive one....

Big ups Riri
